Objectives:
Students should be able to:
  1. Access their M: Drive (student drive) from the college computer lab
  2. Access their S: Drive (shared drive) from the college computer lab
  3. Describe why they would want to save files to their M: Drive
  4. Describe why they would want to save files to their S: Drive
  5. Create both an M: Drive and S: Drive folder

Assignments:
  1. Create the following file folders within their M: Drive
    • Webquest
    • Video Project
    • Microsoft Excel Project
    • Microsoft Word
  2. Create a file folder titled with your "last name_first name" in the EDUC331 "Section #" folder on the S: Drive (example: Folkestad_James)
    • To find the the "Section #" folder on the S:Drive - open the following folders on the S:Drive 1) SOE, 2) SOE Courses, 3) EDUC331, 4) "Students", 5) "Section #"
  3. Create the following file folders within their S: Drive folder (see step two)
    • Webquest
    • Video Project
    • Microsoft Excel Project
    • Microsoft Word
  4. Use the "print screen" function to make a copy / image of computer screen showing their file structure on their M: Drive
  5. Paste "print screen" image into Microsoft Word
  6. Crop the "print screen" image to include only the important information (see example below)
  7. Save the Microsoft Word document with the "print screen" image of file structure to your S: Drive placing it within the "Microsoft Word" folder
  8. Verify that the file is in the correct location and that others in the class can open it
